Overview

Meshcom is a leading provider of zero-configuration technology and solutions. Meshcom’s mission is to unwire the world and provide building blocks for ubiquitous and convenient connectivity.

Meshcom was founded in 2004 with a focus on developing a zero-configuration technology to device manufacturers which provides automatic wireless network configuration. In 2004-2007 Meshcom was conducting intensive research and development phase for such technology. Product was introduced at Cebit 2007 and since then, Meshcom has been actively licensing this technology for device manufacturers and their technology suppliers.

Meshcom has offices in Helsinki, Finland and Hong Kong, and is financially backed up by Nordic Growth and Finnish Industry Investment.

The Team

Miska Kaipiainen, CEO & Founder

Miska Kaipiainen is a serial entrepreneur and the visionary founder of Meshcom. He possesses an ideal combination of experience and knowledge in the fields of leadership, management, wireless technologies and business development. He is responsible for Meshcom’s strategic direction and day-to-day operations.

Prior to founding Meshcom, Miska was working for his previous start-up, Radionet (2000-2004) which was acquired by Airspan Networks in 2004. At Radionet he created a management team of senior executives, managed VC funding and successfully led the company to create product lines for outdoor wireless networks. He has also given public presentations as an invited speaker in international wireless industry seminars and workshops for professionals.

Marko Nieminen, VP Services and co-founder

Marko Nieminen is a seasoned technical innovator and a co-founder of Meshcom. He has experience in several successful start-up businesses in the fields of wireless and IP networking. He is responsible for Meshcom’s engineering services and customized applications for Meshcom’s customers.

Previously, Marko led the software development in Radionet R&D, building and overlooking the software development teams and taking systematic software development processes into use. He also has a strong hands-on network technology background, especially in wireless, which has also led to patents. He has also given presentations in globally recognized seminars and universities.

Joonas Wärn, CTO

Joonas Wärn has a strong background in embedded software development and project management. He has a wide variety of expertise in product development, manufacturing processes, logistics, distribution and business development. Joonas has continuous ambition for self-development and reluctance to be nothing less than an expert in everything he does. He is responsible for Meshcom’s research projects and development of new products.

Prior to joining Meshcom in 2004, he was working for EKS as R&D Director (2001-2004), leading successfully product development and manufacturing processes.

Ari Paganus, VP Sales

Ari Paganus has 20+ years experience in telecommunication sales. He has a background in leading multinational sales organizations, opening businesses to new market areas internationally and doing hand-on sales in big corporations like Nokia. He is responsible for developing Meshcom’s international sales organization and opening business to new markets.

Prior to joining Meshcom, he was working for Tecnomen as Sales Director.
