MeshDriver 1.0.6 Released
The release contains support for:
- automatic discovery and use of all network devices (wireless and wired)
- automatic neighbor and route discovery
- reactive routing based on AODV routing protocol
- fragmentation of data packets
- 128-bit AES encryption
- authentication
- compatibility with existing wired/wireless networks
- routing of non-mesh device traffic through mesh network
- superpacketing
Requirements for Windows version:
- Windows XP operating system, with Service Pack 2 installed
Requirements for Linux version:
- Linux operating system, 2.6 series kernel (required kernel features: CONFIG_PACKET, CONFIG_UNIX, CONFIG_TUN)
NOTES FOR RELEASE 1.0.6:
- WARNING: This update breaks routing compatibility for non-mesh user data. All nodes need to be updated to current version for end-user management to work.
- AODV routing fixes.
- Updated and improved routing through the mesh network of non-mesh user data.
- Linux user-mode installation now checks for /dev/tun file.
- Zero size memory allocation no more possible in Windows.
- Fixed packet queuing issues when destination was missing.
- Better output from mdcfg.
